And we are back...

A lot of people thought we were dead, but we're not. Still working away. Skydiving has undergone some major changes and we'll be posting new pictures soon from that. We took on board a lot of the criticism/ideas/suggestions and we're putting them into the game. So keep an eye out for Avatar Skydiving v2.0 being shown off soon.

Back In Action

Avatar Skydiving is back in peer review. With a little luck we'll soon have our first game on the XBLIG Marketplace.  Provided people follow the rules and don't fail the game for doing exactly what every game on the market place does.

Shake Up Required at the Xbox Live Creators Club

As Steve has recently posted, our game Avatar Skydiving has been "Rejected" by the Indie Games review process. For those that don't know the process, your game is reviewed by fellow members of the Creators Club for approval and if you get failed twice you're off the list and barred from submission for a week. Both fail marks for our project have been for faults which, annoyingly, were clearly specified as not being a criteria for failure in the "Not So Evil Checklist" which Creators Club members use to make sure that games that deserve to go through go through.

Failure Fail.

Avatar Skydiving has now been in and out of peer review for 6 weeks.

We've twice been failed for code seven errors. An error which only occurs during review play and which is not a criterion for failure. As all reviewers should be aware. This is very frustrating, but we persevere.

For the record a code seven error occurs when there is no account with XNA creators club membership signed in on the xbox that is being used for testing or when that account signs out.

Hopefully we'll be through the process soon.

Avatar Skydiving is almost complete.

Avatar Skydiving will be going up on for review with the XNA Community tomorrow!

Unless something horrible happens!

Which we hope it wont!

Exclaimation point! - !

We make games aswell as bad puns.

As promised, Illustrious Games is pleased to announce our first commercial project.

Avatar Skydiving

Avatar Skydiving is a multiplayer skydiving race featuring the player's own Xbox Live Avatar. It is soon to be released for Xbox Live Indy games at the bargain price of a meer eighty microsoft points. (Or one dollar to the layman).

I Heart Codeine...Appendicitis, not so much.

When you read that rock stars like Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Phil Lynot etc all did their best work under the influence of drugs; don't believe it.

I've only spent just under a week on prescription drugs and most of what I've done is a total mess. Although, I don't know which had the greater impact on my performance; the pain in my lower abdomen or the painkillers.

All I can say for sure is this past week it's kind of felt like this:

Easter Miracles.

Our team has been ravaged by illness over the course of the past week or so. Which has caused a certain amount of slippage in our projected timeline for release.

Not that we arn't dedicated it's just that code written under the influence of perscription painkillers is rarely useable in a final build.

So with our solem vow never to stay up working 'til six in the morning again (unless we really, really have to) we are pleased to inform that tomorrow will be the day we make our first grand announcement.

We're all very excited.

Introductions.

Hello. Welcome. If you're reading this then let me begin with an apology. We're just taking our first tremulous, fawn-like steps onto the internet here and there's sadly not a great deal to see yet.

On the other hand if you're  reading this then congratulations! You're here at the very beginning of an endevour that we think is going to be very special. We hope you'll be around to follow us to great success.

The new Illustrious Games Website

After much procrastination, I've finally gotten around to setting up our website where we'll be showing off our projects and keeping a blog of our development progress, (or rather Steve will, I'll just generally complain about things; you have been warned), and letting you know when you can go online and buy our games. It's important that you buy them since without your support I won't be able to buy that flash car I want and Steve won't be able to move out and into his own place.
